Georgia Tech bookstore shuts down for a month due to high number of books on Islam

Posted May 04, 2018 11:00:50 Georgia Tech will close its bookstore in Mardel Christian on June 9, the school announced Wednesday.

The bookstore will also be closed during the month of June.

It will remain open for students and faculty.

The move comes amid growing concern among Muslim Americans about the growing number of conservative books and videos being distributed on social media and the increasing number of anti-Muslim incidents in the United States.

In recent weeks, a wave of anti, anti-Semitic and other hate crimes have occurred across the country.
