Which College Books Should You Buy in the New Year?
Posted On June 17, 2021
You’ll want to check out the titles in order to find a book that’s just right for you.
Harriet Hetrick’s book The End of Women in America, for example, is a well-researched, well-written look at why this is happening.
And you should definitely pick up the latest collection of essays from Harvard’s most prominent feminist, Emily Yoffe, who wrote the foreword to the newest edition.
You might also want to give a look at the work of the late, great Jodie Foster.
The best books to buy this year?
There are a few that I personally would recommend.
Harriet Hetrich’s The End Of Women in American.
This book offers a look back at the history of women’s rights in America and why this isn’t necessarily a story about the rise of feminism in the 1960s and 1970s.
Hetrik argues that women’s empowerment is rooted in a desire to control their own bodies and that this is one of the central themes of her book.
You can pick up a copy at the American Women’s Library.
Emily Yolteyn’s The Unfinished Work: The Making of a Modern Feminist.
I know, I know.
This is the book that started a whole movement, right?
Hes written about the history and current struggles of feminist activism in the United States, from the suffrage movement to the women’s liberation movement to Black Lives Matter.
The book focuses on Yolting, an author who writes about issues like her own struggle to become an independent filmmaker and her desire to help others to succeed.
Jody Foster’s The New School: A Cultural History of the American School.
Foster has spent a career writing about what it means to be a woman in a globalized, modern world.
The New Schools series, which was published by HarperCollins in 2017, offers a glimpse into how women were transformed and what it takes to be successful in the modern world, from fashion and music to the arts and technology.
You should also pick up her new book, A Modern Women, which details the work and life of American women in the past and present.4.
Tami Cavanaugh’s The Red Book: The Women Who Made History.
Cavanaugh is a professor at the University of Virginia, where she teaches gender studies.
She has published several books, including The Redbook, which explores women’s roles and histories in the American experience.
You could also pick one up from the Women’s History Museum.5.
Margaret Atwood’s The Dispossessed: The True Stories of the Disenfranchised.
Atwood’s latest book focuses specifically on the history, experiences, and political movements of the disenfranchised.
The Book of the Week is an essay collection that examines women’s experiences from the American Revolution to the Civil Rights Movement.
You should also check out The Women’s Studies Project, which is an anthology of essays about the ways women are organizing, speaking, and writing to change the world.
